Voters will decide whether or not to “undedicate” a 0.33-acre strip of park space so that it can accommodate the proposed bus lanes. The initiative is spearheaded by Stanford University, which would pay up to $4 million for the project, which is currently expected to cost between $3.5 million and $5.3 million. Both the city and Stanford would also seek grants to help pay for some of the project costs.
