On Nov. 6, city of Kalamazoo voters will be asked to renew Kalamazoo Metro Transit's millage for one more year in 2008. First approved by voters in 1986, the Metro Transit millage has been successfully renewed in three-year increments ever since. This year's request is limited to one year, at the end of which Kalamazoo Metro Transit will merge with the Kalamazoo County Transportation Authority to create one countywide transportation service.
