Voters will decide whether to approve a half cent sales tax, with 50% of revenue going to projects related to transit, including fixes to the north county rail corridor, where coastal erosion is threatening tracks along the Del Mar Bluffs used by the Coaster and Amtrak, a rail connection to the airport, a light rail line roughly along the I-805 corridor, from the South Bay to Kearny Mesa through Mission Valley, known as the Purple Line, 27% to highway improvements and maintenance, 12% for transit operations, and 7% for local road improvements.
