A five-year property tax increase plan to support expanded bus service and other transit projects will be on the ballot in the Salem-Keizer area. The increase would generate approximately $28 million over five years. The measure passed but tax increases require at least 50% of all registered voters to participate. Officials may resubmit the measure in November 2006.
