Voters in Lorain County will be asked to raise the sales tax from 6.25 to 6.5 percent to support a variety of county programs. The tax is expected to generate between $7 and $7.5 billion per year. If it is not approved the county will cut their contribution to the Lorain County Transit System in half, from $100,000 to $50,000.
