Mountain Village (Telluride), CO

Voters will decide on a 5% excise tax on lift tickets primarily purchased by non-locals, for the annual period between November 1 and April 30, to address Telluride Ski and Golf’s (TSG) last-minute reversal of its financial commitment to help fund the Mountain Village to Telluride gondola expenses tied to ballot measure 3A, which was passed by voters in November, 2024. The measure was originally on the June 24th ballot. However, the Mountain Village Town Council unanimously voted to approve a resolution to postpone ballot question 6 to a special election on November 4, 2025. The new election date for this ballot measure will provide additional time for the town to consult with affected stakeholders regarding the proposed tax and ballot language before the next ski season begins.
